MUSIC FOR LITTLE MOZARTS OPENS IN SM NORTH EDSA

Description:

Young kids are in for a very fun and musical adventure as Lyric, one of the biggest proponents for music education in the country, recently opened the first Music for Little Mozarts school in the Philippines. Located at the 3rd floor of the main building of SM North EDSA, Music for Little Mozarts is a venue where kids can fully harness and express their musical side.

Music for Little Mozarts is a music school developed by experienced teachers who have done extensive research in the area of early childhood. The curricula are specifically designed for children 4-6 years old and include activities that match the need to move, sing, play and pretend. Primarily designed to develop creativity in the young child, Music for Little Mozarts has successful schools in countries like the USA, Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore.

Each lesson includes a variety of exciting activities, chosen from keyboard performance, singing, music appreciation, coloring movement, listening, rhythm, and use of the magnetic/dry-erase board. The lessons present great opportunities for self-expression through materials for singing, listening, music appreciation, movement, and rhythm activities.

Sharper and smarter through music
Recent studies suggest that playing and listening to music at a young age improves learning, memory, reasoning ability and general creativity. Research also supports the theory that young children who are exposed to music develop enhanced cognitive skills. Moreover, music teachers are aware that the influence of music goes far beyond the intellectual and physical development of the child. Studying music contributes to the growth of a well-balanced child in sensitivity, expressiveness, and the spirit essential for functioning in a complicated world.

Designed to encourage a love for music, Music for Little Mozarts help kids develop singing and listening skills, as well as appreciate many musical styles. The stories in the courses engage the imagination through the musical adventures of two lovable characters, Mozart Mouse and Beethoven Bear. The story of Mozart Mouse and Beethoven Bear continues throughout the entire series, and the use of plush toys in the actual piano instruction brings their adventures to life. These characters help introduce and instill musical concepts to kids through fun and engaging activities.

A satisfying experience for kids
Unlike other schools that focus entirely on keyboard performance activities, which are often beyond the understanding of the child, Music for Little Mozarts offers a variety of activities to lay the foundation of a lifetime of musical enjoyment. Once completed, kids are ready to take introductory courses for various instruments, including Alfreds Basic Piano, Preparatory Course, as well as courses in guitar, percussion, violin and more.

There are two kinds of Music for Little Mozarts courses available for kids. There is a short course that takes kids to four different levels of learning. Each level can be completed in 18 to 22 weeks. There is a two-year long course for kids who would like to enjoy growing up with music. It also has four levels, but with a more extensive curriculum. The newly-opened branch offers these two courses, as well as reg
